SPIRAL VORTEX FLAME (workshop footage)
 During work on the AUDI R8 commercial we discovered that we could make spiral flames. It is a vortex, caused by the drag along the side of the cylinder.
We shot some workshop footage as a reference with a small camera. Since the flame happens very quickly it is quite difficult to see what is happening. Since then we have aquired a high speed camera for testing. If we had had this camera at the time it would have been much easier to see the details of the flame.
