Controlled explosions for commercials ...

. Viz does not use explosives. We can recreate explosions using compressed air or gas. This is far less dangerous than using explosives and can be done without a licence.
We've recently added the foam explosions, but we also have explosions with dust, Pepsi, sugar particles and even stainless steel letters.

Foam explosions

. Recently we've been asked to make several foam explosions...
For the latest Duvel commercial, we exploded a glass of beer...We did this in several ways including shooting the glass vertically from underneath, from both sides, and we exploded the beer without a container...

Exploding Pepsi Blister Pack for Pepsi

.We made these Pepsi Bottles explode for a Papsi Max commercial. PET bottles are extremely resilient so that we needed a very high pressure. Colleague Robert Pachowski decided to go with compressed nitrogen, which is supplied at an initial pressure of 200 atmosphere.

Flames for animation film

. Animation artist Martin Draax needed flames to combine with his drawn figures for the short film "Deep Shit". In the film there is a sequence where the cartoon characters knock over a cigarette and cause a fire...

Line producer Patrik Raats and cameraman Jelle Mulder combined with Viz to create this live action sequence...

Exploding computers for MTV

. For this MTV leader we made a series of tests outdoors to discover the volume of the explosion we wanted and the amount of debris versus dust that we would be using.
