AUDI R8

  VIZ.NL provides art-direction and special-effects for new AUDI film  
  . Raf Walthion, directing in Brussels for CZAR (Brussels) and TEMPOMEDIA (Hamburg), needed a huge list of special effects, shot inside the engine; the beating heart of the Audi R8, the diesel powered racing car which won the Le Mans 24 hrs. race.We cooperated with belgian special-effects expert Thierry Cambray and Robert Pachowski from Amsterdam.

See the studio preparation and view the film set...

. We developed shots with Raf Walthion of diesel travelling through the engine of the R8, and many more practical special-effects. Most shots were shot at 1000 frames using the Phantom camera.

  . TEMPOMEDIA in Hamburg ask us to develop unusual product demos...
Balm, Gel, Hairspray, and Strengthening Foam. We did a fifth test for a falling pomegranate shot. All the tests were made in Amsterdam.

  . Another product demo made using physical special effects ...
Public Transport in Amsterdam uses a part of the traffic map, showing the line between two stations. To advertise the summer timetable Rob van den Idsert of Hazazah asked us to make an inflatable line as if it were a swimming ring. Quick inflatable models are notoriously troublesome, usually deflating during crucial moments of a shoot. Read the story of how we managed this project...
