VIZ.NL makes floating anvils for Cobra Museum

The Cobra Museum had an exhibition on the theme of advertising. One of the displays required floating anvils to convey the idea of contradiction.

Julia Llamas of RareMediumWellDone asked us to arrange the effect. Quickly we decided upon light weight model anvils.

The models were sawn out of polyurethane foam in a number of stages and sanded into shape. The polyurethane was strengthened and finished with a protective coating then painted in several transparent layers.
